SUPER 8:First reviews look Top of the Box Office

Feature films like “Super 8”, all budding filmmakers who think only of stars, the meetings of the Third Kind and the Lost Ark have dreamed of. After producing “Clover field”, intense work on trauma and post-September 11 in their thirties in New York to drift and have restored a second youth to the license “Star Trek”, JJ Abrams is back with a science fiction and adventure who skillfully eyeing the side of the eighties. “Super 8” is not innovative. It’s just one of the best movie popcorn in two decades, combining intelligence of staging and subtle direction of actors for a festival of emotions.

With Steven Spielberg’s production, one would think that “Super 8” is a product that mimics the past with no real personality. Not to mention the obsessions of JJ Abrams, wonderful storyteller avid science, mathematics and mystery. For an hour, the filmmaker plays cat and mouse with the viewer’s fears intestine. A reminder that horror cinema is never as effective as when it is created by the public itself. Moreover, it has often criticized the man behind the series Alias, Lost and Fringe, these innovative concepts that do not falsely.

The pieces of film that gives the film its title are never accessories: they are the memory (the memory of the dead mother), cookies (discovery of the monster) and finally the librarians (military archives mode Dharma Initiative) of the plot. JJ Abrams goes to the end of his idea, by all means narrative.

For those who are wondering, the monster share physical similarities with that of “Clover field”, between the amphibian and arachnid. It is part of the long list of successful special effects in action sequences effective. If the end is somewhat shipped, there is an extreme pleasure movie, both visually and sound. Carried by a troupe of young actors lively (Elle Fanning is great) and the presence of Kyle Chandler, actor underused in film, the film is a ghost train at full speed which honors a whole area of film of pure entertainment. It is a true gift to fans of Indiana Jones and of ET who stayed in older children and that will rhyme with “Super 8”, a future classic film.
