Shark Night 3D
Sharks are always a source of nightmares in “Shark Night 3D”, which uses all the cliches of the genre to smile … a couple of times. It is perhaps not a good movie, but it’s still drinking more than the vague “Piranha 3D” that was sweeping last year on the screens.
Young adults staying in a remote corner and sharks rampaging who eat everything in their path: two “classic” that are reunited for the most fervent admirers of the genre. Everyone knows that the call of the blood is stronger than anything, but that will survive in this menu of haute cuisine and in what ways the less fortunate will lose parts of their anatomy?
This is the beginning of classes and homework not too many. Good news: it allows time for teenager customers going to the movies for the last horror production is quality (or poor) equal to that of “Final Destination 5″. “Shark Night 3D” suffers from the syndrome, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, as was the case of the previous efforts of its director, David R. Ellis (“Final Destination 2″, “Snakes on a Plane”). The first part, endless takes him terribly seriously. After a botched introduction, the filmmaker takes his time to present his characters one-dimensional and uninteresting, do not create an enviable pace. And once a interesting situation arises, it is rapidly removed in favor of trade distressing and a semblance of psychological complexity.
Therefore, wait about 45 minutes before the feature film really begins. And when this is the case, happiness – which is still very relative – is intended to be communicative. It is possible these grotesque situations that come on the screen, crazy heroes behavour and the foolishness of the dialogues. The script offers some thoughts on what is happening, leaving the course the way, is more interesting to show bodies being mutilated. The exercise, almost good-natured, remember the stupidity of humans, bringing in his simple natural element, that the sharks (which are ridiculous and poorly made) are not necessarily bad in themselves and that you always have a dog for his own safety. A wink and submit it to one of his first achievements (“2 Fly Home”!).
More or less staged, with actors and a very limited 3D pretty useless, “Shark Night 3D” is another of those films that exist only attempts to satisfy the baser instincts of the viewer. It could have been likened to “Jaws” or “Open Water”, but instead it is classified in the same category that “Anaconda” and “Deep Blue Sea” two “variations on themes Related” of the 1990s that are totally forgotten in 2011. This will certainly be the case of this unequal humiliation that could have been much worse … and much more.
