Just Go With It

Lying at the heart of “Just Go With It”, a maddeningly superficial and romantic comedy that can not save Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. The loved one will not be happy if he is invited to see this on the day of St. Valentine.

Just Go With It

Danny (Adam Sandler) lies to everyone. Especially the women he seeks to conquer. In trying to seduce a nymph (Brooklyn Decker), he manages to convince his girlfriend Katherine (Jennifer Aniston) and her two children to help him achieve his ends. But when true love suddenly appears, it will have no choice but to finally tell the truth.

Adam Sandler must feel that he is indebted to the director Dennis Dugan. It was he who directed “Happy Gilmore”, the first real commercial success of the star. Since that time, the association between the two men is regular, and the fruit of their professional associations has resulted in the heartbreaking “Big Daddy”, “You Do not Mess With the Zohan” and other “Grown Ups”. Here is a new offshoot to add to their association forgettable.

The story is not, however genuine. Everything is wrong, precast. The protagonist is a plastic surgeon and his patients eagerly seek to change the skin to be someone else. Almost everyone spends his time lying, embellishing his newspaper to be accepted socially. An interesting idea that is basic yet clenched in Botox. Instead he lets down the concept of “Cactus Flower” by Gene Saks, basting constantly fat and vulgar jokes that make us smile once in six. So it is a false result because the comedy is never really funny, and a false romance because the tender moments and cute slow to arrive.

Could not ask for Adam Sandler to be Cary Grant. If it can be touching and convincing (remember how “punck-Drunk Love”?), It is clear for the umpteenth time his traditional number of retarded teenager who learns not to be too mean to children. His duet with Jennifer Aniston last, however function. In verve since “The Swith”, the actress cheerfully casual game offers. When the former “Friends” is the best part of your feature, there is a problem. A good effort is marred by a secondary distribution quite horrifying that multiplies mimicry to be endless. One wonders what Nicole Kidman came to this whole mess.

With his good feelings ton loads and moralizing (as they say the truth, all is well, whereas the reality is very different and more complicated than this fairy tale), “Just Go With It” does not niceties. Anyone would have forgiven his faults of taste gags worked. Since this is not the case, he will think twice before investing time and money.
