The return to civilization is not easy especially if you have spent many years of your life in jail, Juliette tries to start anew, but the intolerance of the so-called “normal people” does not help at all.
Film based on the novel by Philippe Claudel who also directs the film here, and starring an extraordinary Kristin Scott Thomas, here perhaps best role of his career and this season, unfairly snubbed by the Academy (and when they ever guessed someone every death Pope) who is the true backbone of a soul touching and poignant film, one of the best scenes is for sure the final confrontation between the two sisters, when she finally discovers the truth, and of course the parents who have never fully understood daughter’s pain.
