Horrible Bosses
Vulgar, politically incorrect and downright funny, “Horrible Bosses” pickled in no time with his lines and his hilarious five-star distribution. Who says that American cinema could not, on occasion, deliver mind-blowing comedy?
Three friends would like to get rid of their bosses. Nick (Jason Bateman) expects a promotion that never comes, his boss (Kevin Spacey) fun to continually cut the ground from under their feet. Since the death of his father (Donald Shuterland), his son (Colin Farrell) is doing everything to destroy the family through, to the chagrin of the faithful employee Kurt (Jason Sudeikis). And there’s Dale (Charlie Day) that is sexual harassment by her superior (Jennifer Aniston) while doing everything possible to remain faithful to his fiancee. The trio finds a hit man (Jamie Foxx) to fulfill their vows, but the chance to appeal to thwart the cards.
As was the case a few weeks ago with the funny “Bridesmaids”, do not rely on the trailer more or less satisfactory “Horrible Bosses” The film has none of the banal comedy number. Rather, it is a balm that was low in good laughs. The story, which is probably one of the most common fantasies, stages of normal individuals who are immersed in a fantastic story. Who has not dreamed of the skin to his boss? The three heroes take drastic measures and their adventures do not go as planned, on the contrary.
The scenario with sharp dialogues and vulgarity in the carpet is dotted with flashes ingenious gags well tucked up, black humor and fully assumed naivete. The film is not about to lecture but to remember that nothing is simple in life and that fate is usually the last word. This observation is good in a work that perfectly fulfills its mandate to make people laugh. Yes, the level of crap is ten times faster and things are not always in good taste. Except that it’s enough to get its share of laughter and forgetting the uneven pace and the achievement of Seth Gordon who, despite very good choice of music, remains rather limited.
The opportunity is great also to see great actors enjoy a great time. The main trio not unlike that of “The Hangover”, a hit thanks to the charisma of Jason Sudeikis, wisely left to the presence of Jason Bateman and manic – and sometimes unbearable – Charlie Day. It is legitimate to believe in and identify with their friendship, to their dismay. Like all good productions of superheroes who respect, are the bad guys steal the show and this test is no exception. Kevin Spacey is colorful in a role he knows inside out, Colin Farrell will surprise more than one and Jennifer Aniston is easily her most brilliant career. In the future, even if it continues to accumulate bad romantic comedies, it is always possible to say “it was so good in “Horrible Bosses”.
This effort will certainly not win a prize subtlety and it will end up probably not nominated for next Oscars (although before the quality of the competition …). This is not a reason to hide his pleasure and not get a hit with this great guilty pleasure. Sorry “The sense of humor”, but the comedy of the summer would rather “Horrible Bosses”.
