“Ghost Rider” the rights belong to Marvel Comics slice a judge

A judge of the U.S. federal court ruled in favor of Marvel Comics in a dispute that pitted the creator of Ghost Rider since 2007.

Gary Friedrich, a freelance writer who created the character in 1972 and wrote the first comic strip, said that although he sold the rights to Marvel Comics that they did not include the use of Ghost Rider any film or television adaptations, or to sell products.

The judge determined that Katherine Forrest Gary Friedrich had signed two agreements: one that gave rights to the character in exchange for a payment and the other signed in 1978, which ceded all rights to ever work, regardless of the nature of the use of the character from Marvel Comics.



Gary Friedrich’s lawyer says the case will be appealed.

Nicolas Cage has embodied Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage), aka Ghost Rider in the film first appeared on screens in 2007. Later, ” Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance “, due out in 2D and 3D on 17 February.
