Ghost Protocol

Tom Cruise has been proves a beautiful way in producing and using his role in “Mission: Impossible”, with “Ghost Protocol” which offers the best episode of the series since the first. The spectacular and breathtaking action to resell.

The agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is in prison? Not for very long. Members of his unit (Simon Pegg, Paula Patton) are there to deliver. His new mission, if he accepts, is to go to Russia to halt a possible nuclear war. No less! The dream team could count on a new ally (Jeremy Renner) nebulous past to help them get their hands on a particularly threatening man (Michael Nyqvist) who seems to have no morality.

Of all the 2011 suites as proposed, that of “Mission: Impossible” totally indifferent. Since the introduction of phenomenal Brian De Palma in 1996, the license was adrift. John Woo had almost destroyed in 2000, JJ Abrams had failed to completely restore later. This is what happens to the filmmaker Brad Bird who is in his first film in the “real” after a few successful events (“The Iron Giant”,” The Incredibles”,” Ratatouille “).

His first love is made for keeping the old TV series by creating a real team and not just a derivative of “James Bond”. Tom Cruise still leads off with his natural charisma, but this time it leaves much more space to his colleagues. Simon Pegg is the comical element of the feature film and it’s howling with laughter on many occasions. Paula Patton avoids most of the stereotypes that kind of role and Jeremy Renner in “The Hurt Locker” provides once again on the physical plane. More feverish, tense and ruthless as the heartbreaking “Abduction” Michael Nyqvist (the nice journalist Scandinavian trilogy “Millennium”) is on its way to the wicked his specialty. In most secondary roles, Lea Seydoux and Tom Wilkinson also noted for the right reasons.

In addition to a strong cast, the director can count on a quality script Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. The scenario is completely unpredictable, but it does not matter. The key is to push the entertainment factor at its height, which is the case here. Achieving very good vitamin and soundtrack by Michael Giacchino can only increase the stakes, no leaving room for boredom. Let alone IMAX version! The mix between action and humor is fully developed, making it one of the most manly movies of the year. There are mostly stunning set pieces, clashes of thunder and out chase. Dust does not have time to settle long as the scenes follow one another at the turn tough. Since everything is so well controlled and that pleasure is intended ubiquitous from start to end, it is easy to accept these situations intentionally far-fetched and sentimental excesses of the final.

It is therefore with surprise and a delight that “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” set fire to the powder, proving easily the most explosive film of the holiday season. Who said that Tom Cruise’s career was over? The star proves otherwise with the result that surprised many, and which some cinemas offer an exclusive few minutes of the highly anticipated “The Dark Knight Rises” by Christopher Nolan. This promises to be simply mind-blowing.
