Film Review Takers

Change moderately satisfactory on film theft and breakage, “Takers” by John Luessenhop abuses gender stereotypes. Rest of good actors who can not help a scenario that would have deserved a little more dashing.

Takers movie

A flight is important in pregnancy. Burglars are thoroughly prepared, even if the longtime collaborators did not necessarily have confidence. The policeman Jack (Matt Dillon) is however at their heels and is desperate to stop them …

Sometimes there is nothing better than a feature film police bathed in testosterone to spend a pleasant moment in cinema. Especially when good actors are in the game. This is precisely what is in this cast that includes Matt Dillon, Paul Walker, Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, Tip TI Harris and Marianne Jean -Baptiste. These actors, talent to good use, camp usually developed characters, not quite black or white, which are controlled by different moral dilemmas in seeking to touch the fingertips of happiness.

Too bad they must exist in a narrative that only a first step to captivate and surprise. The premise, which does not avoid inconsistencies and facilities of fate, falls under the conventions and cliches, ranging from corrupt cop for a good cause traitor service. This suggests that the writers have tried to capture the grandeur “Heat” by Michael Mann, but without success beyond measure. It starts with believable situations and dialogues that are really something.

The realization of John Luessenhop is not much better. His staged shocks abusing effects easy and free, using slow motion to spoil the tension mounting too nervous and music that does not give the desired effect. By dint of peering on the method of John Woo and Johnny To, there is not much originality and authenticity to the appointment.

Without passion or boredom, “Takers” delivers the goods only, which is still not enough to make good entertainment. Too true and clear, the plot lacks depth, not knowing how to use its recommended distribution properly. This will be for next time.
