Film Review Rio
With its bright colors, inspiring songs and cute animals like everything, “Rio” remains an entertaining quite recommendable for children who want to forget all the many recent events and bad. Their parents may even take a taste.
Blu (voice of Jesse Eisenberg) is the last bird of his lineage and must absolutely copulate with the female Jewel (Anne Hathaway) to save their species. The impression will not be easy, much less steal his heart. The situation turns into a disaster when traffickers kidnap them for sale on the black market. Using feathered friends and a friendly bulldog, they reach even to escape and make their way into the famous Rio Carnival.
The director Carlos Saldanha knows his job. He has three “Ice Age” and “Robots”. Here it back to the load with another spectacular animation where the senses are constantly put to use. Assuming an original storyline (that of Rio with its festival, food, music … but also its problems of poverty and violence), it captivates the retina with its attractive forms (which are identified by successful effects in three dimensions) and hearing (sometimes uneven listen to the songs without too many side effects). What river young souls to their bench.
The introductory segment is easily the most interesting of the lot. The way of the excellent and superior “Rango”, the hero is lost and there is a new adoptive family. This is where the viewer is familiar with some of the most important characters of the story. There is a specific human and bird a little awkward. Their marriage of words and spend these moments of grace are intended particularly touching.
Happen at any time in the match. As soon as the plot gains a foothold in Rio, the stereotype is never far away. First among the human characters who have nothing particularly edifying to do or say. Or even in other animals that are there to create some fantasy mechanically, add an excess of humor. Events abound perhaps no voltage is supplied with a good mood almost constant (there will even be a fight between birds and monkeys!), Except that the depth of the many themes is often sketched at the expense of lightness.
The youngest, however, will love these beautiful animals. Blu has a unique personality and Jesse Eisenberg plays a bit of a hypochondriac, in the manner of The Social Network. Fiercer, Anne Hathaway him constantly raise the ball, and is supported by strong voice that can count on the contribution of George Lopez, Jamie Foxx, Tracy Morgan and Jemaine Clement is particularly terrifying in the role of the villain flies Service.
Entertainment good child who is far from negligible, “Rio” is a quality product, more intelligent and sensitive than average, but who lack soul, however, to make it a classic of the caliber of those Pixar. However, this is one of the best events to happen on screen since “Rango” and “The Illusionist”.
